AI receptionist pricing, compared honestly.
Six AI phone receptionists for small businesses, with every price copied from the vendor's own pricing page. They bill in three different ways (minutes, calls or unique callers), so we built a calculator to compare them at your volume.
Checked 2026-10-19 on each official pricing page (linked). Prices change; confirm before you buy. We haven't call-tested these products, and this page has no affiliate links yet.
What would it cost at your call volume?
Assumes every call is a different caller (worst case for per-caller pricing). Estimates only; taxes, phone numbers and add-ons excluded.

How to pick
- Short calls, many callers: per-minute plans (Dialzara, Rosie) usually win.
- Long calls, repeat customers: per-caller billing (Goodcall) can be cheaper, because a nine-minute booking costs the same as a hang-up.
- Low volume: Smith.ai's free 25 calls or Upfirst's $24.95 Starter are the cheapest way to test.
- Check booking: some entry plans only take messages or text a link instead of booking into your calendar.
- Trade software: if you run ServiceTitan, Tekmetric or a dental PMS, see our trade guides for native options.
Our view (opinion): start with after-hours and overflow calls only, measure missed-call recovery for a month, then decide whether to move daytime calls over. Use the ROI calculator to check payback.
